Micah Sparrow

Micah Sparrow serves as the Clinical Director at Lotus Wellness, where he oversees clinical programming, group therapy programming, and supports the therapists and group facilitators who make the work happen every day. He helps shape the therapeutic culture of the organization, with a strong emphasis on individualized, client-centered care. He also implements outcome measures and quality improvement initiatives to ensure the work being done is both evidence-based and meaningful. His goal is to foster an environment that holds both professionalism and joy, where staff feel empowered and clients feel genuinely seen and supported.

Micah holds a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Walden University, with a specialization in Couples and Family Therapy. He is a Nationally Certified Counselor and an LPC-MHSP (pending). His clinical work focuses on trauma, OCD and anxiety disorders, dissociative disorders, and major life transitions.

He is trained in Brainspotting, Exposure and Response Prevention, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and exposure-based interventions. His approach integrates mindfulness, strengths-based perspectives, narrative therapy, and evidence-based practice. When working with anxiety and OCD, he uses a CBT-informed framework that focuses on reducing shame, increasing education and internal resources, and building practical skills. At the center of his work is a consistent question: where is this creating friction or limitation in your life, and how do we make it manageable for you on your own?

Before becoming a counselor, Micah worked in youth ministry with teens and families. Over time, he realized that good intentions were not enough and that he wanted stronger clinical tools to support people in meaningful ways. That realization led him back to graduate school. What continues to motivate him is watching clients experience clarity and agency, those moments where something clicks and a path forward feels possible.

Micah often tells clients, “Residential does not get you across the finish line. Our goal here is to set you up on the starting line with the tools you need to succeed. It’s your race to run. It’s our job to equip you.” He sees residential treatment as a launching point, a structured space to build insight, resilience, and skills that last beyond discharge.

Outside of work, Micah enjoys reading, writing, and spending time with his family. He is also an unapologetic fan of Survivor and has applied multiple times, fully convinced that one day Jeff Probst will hand him a million-dollar check. He believes healing happens through intentional growth, strong resources, and solid people in your corner, and he works to reflect that belief in both his leadership and clinical care.
